Do you provide onsite heat transfer activations across Australia?

Yes, our heat transfer personalisation service is available Australia-wide, including metro and regional areas. No matter where your event is held, we can bring the experience to you.

Do you have a Melbourne-based brand activation team?

Yes we do. Honeycomb Agency has a dedicated Melbourne-based activation team, allowing us to deliver live personalisation activations locally across Victoria.

This means faster setup, local knowledge, and on-the-ground support for Melbourne events, while still being backed by our national team. We deliver Heat Press activations across Melbourne and greater Victoria, making it ideal for live customisation of apparel, caps, totes, and event merchandise.

What is required to set up the heat transfer activation?

Each merchandise item, whether hats, bags, towels, or shirts-has a slightly different setup requirement. At a minimum, we require a standard trestle table or counter that is at least 65cm in depth, plus a dedicated area for guests to collect their finished items.

This can be another counter, trestle table or shelving unit. Access to power is also essential. For more complex setups or multiple product types, we may require up to three standard trestle tables, including space for decoration and item pick-up. *Given the weight and operation of the heat press, the counter/table needs to be sturdy (No plastic trestle tables).

What power supply is needed for the heat transfer machines?

Our heat press equipment requires a standard 10AMP power outlet, plus a power board.

Do you provide staff to run the activation?

Absolutely. We provide a team of three experienced technicians to manage the heat press machines, oversee visitor interaction, and ensure everything runs smoothly throughout your event.

How durable is the personalisation from a heat transfer activation?

We use high-grade vinyls commonly found in retail garments. When cared for correctly (such as with gentle warm wash cycles for apparel or handwashing) your personalised items will remain vibrant and durable for a long time.

What types of customisation do you offer?

We offer live personalisation onsite using heat transfer vinyl, including names, initials, and simple designs. Alternatively, we can pre-supply a range of patches or transfers for guests to choose from at the event. An activation of this kind would allow you to customise more items onsite.

Can we use our custom font?

Yes, we can upload your font to our software. We just need you to share your font file prior to the event.

Are there any limitations on colour use in the designs?

To maximise efficiency and visual impact, we recommend using pre-decorated merchandise with your brand colours, and applying one-colour personalisation during the event. This approach helps the personalisation stand out and ensures faster turnaround.

Can we supply our own merchandise for you to personalise?

Yes, we’re happy to work with client-supplied merchandise. We’ll just need samples of each item ahead of time to adjust our equipment settings to ensure a premium finish.

Can we offer multiple product colours at our event?

Absolutely! Offering a selection of colours increases engagement and allows for greater personalisation. Just keep in mind that different colours may require different equipment settings, which can slightly affect the speed of the process. We’ll work with you to optimise this. Depending on the item, we may also need to test each colour variant.

Is there a minimum order quantity for heat transfer products?

Minimum order quantities vary depending on the product, but typically start at 25 units. We’ll work with you to determine the most suitable quantity based on your event goals and audience size.

How long does each personalisation take?

Depending on the complexity, personalisation can take between 3–5 minutes per item. Pre-cut patches or simple vinyl transfers are quicker, while custom names or initials may take a little longer. Our team can give you a tailored estimate based on your merchandise and expected event traffic.

We recommend including 3–5 closed-ended questions focused on your specific objectives—whether it’s lead generation, brand engagement, or customer insight. A short, easy-to-complete form improves participation and ensures a better experience for your attendees.

How long will delegates wait for their personalised item?

Turnaround time typically ranges from a few minutes to about an hour, depending on event size and visitor flow. Our team works efficiently through submissions in the order they’re received. For larger events, we’re happy to discuss timing and traffic management with you.

How will delegates know when their item is ready for collection?

Once a delegate's item is ready, they’ll receive an SMS notification letting them know where to collect their item. This helps streamline collection and ensures your booth receives repeat foot traffic throughout the day.
