The Proofpoint Protect Tour in Melbourne brought together industry leaders and professionals to forge powerful connections, gather valuable intelligence, and explore strategies for staying ahead of growing cyber threats, emerging technologies, human risk, and agentic AI.

As part of the event experience, Proofpoint delivered a premium on-site activation, offering delegates a custom personalised Proofpoint jersey heat pressed live.

The Objective

The Process

Registration & Personalisation

Delegates were invited to register for a Proofpoint jersey via a custom-built landing page. This landing page was accessed via iPads and QR code posters, with Honeycomb staff assistance.

To support efficient production and collection, delegates were encouraged to submit their details early in the day, allowing the majority of jerseys to be ready for collection from lunchtime.

During registration, delegates selected:

  • Their preferred jersey size
  • The name, nickname, or initials they wished to have heat-pressed on the back

Sizing & Fit Experience

In the main arrival area, a curated display featured a clothing rack with one sample jersey in each size, across both men’s and women’s fits. This allowed delegates to try on garments before confirming their size, reducing errors and improving overall satisfaction.

On-Site Production & Notifications

Jerseys were personalised live using heat transfer technology. From lunchtime, delegates received an SMS notification when their personalised jersey was ready for collection. This removed the need to queue or wait and allowed them to continue engaging with the conference content.

Collection & Logistics Management

To ensure a seamless and efficient collection process:

  • Each jersey was neatly rolled with the personalised name visible
  • Completed jerseys were organised alphabetically (A–Z) in tubs beneath the counter
  • Delegates presented their event badge at collection
  • Badges were hole-punched upon collection to confirm receipt and ensure one jersey per person

This system enabled fast, accurate handover during peak periods.

The Unique Experience

This activation transformed a traditional conference giveaway into a personalised, attendee-first experience.

Rather than waiting in line or disrupting their conference schedule, delegates were able to register early, enjoy the event, and receive a text message once their jersey was ready for collection. SMS notifications were sent when there was a break in the conference agenda, to respect the delegates’ time while adding a sense of anticipation and convenience.

By combining live heat pressing, thoughtful sizing, and real-time communication, the experience felt considered and premium at scale. Each jersey was not only customised by name, but delivered at the right moment, reinforcing Proofpoint’s focus on intelligent, human-centred solutions.
